LABS
In 2020 I began to examine the boundaries of the framework of the Kundalini Yoga tradition as I learned, taught, and practiced it for years.
After a period of study and experimentation by myself, and as the war that started in October 2023 made me feel the urge to help in any way I can, while realizing I can no longer teach in the same way, I decided to share the process I was going through in my personal practice with others.
These practices are both a new interpretation of the old form as well as a deconstruction of it, leading to the creation of new practices, influenced by different cultural contexts, in this case it was using the Hebrew language as sonic material for mantra practice.
The fruits of these labs are the nourishment of the practices that I start sharing online:
Through daily practice and study labs, conducted over several weeks at a time, around the days of seasonal transitions and the natural rhythms of change, I created and shared with the participants, as we were going through the process together.
Most of these labs were delivered in Hebrew, as it all happened during wartime, when it felt that for us, who are in an active warzone, the needs were very specific, as well as it was an experimentation with the local language and culture, exploring the adaptation of the practice in this particular time and place.
The practice continues to evolve:
Themes We Explored
Make your breath a prayer - Spring 2023
Daily practice attuned to the spring time bursting through the shadows of war. The main focus of this lab was breath practices in which we paused the breath at the top of the inhalation with intention and prayer.
Make your breath a prayer:
The moon's light will be like the sun's light, and the sun's light will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted
Isaiah 30:26 -
“The moon’s light will be like the sun’s light” (Isaiah 30:26) - Summer 2024
Exploring the dynamics between the polarities - feminine and masculine - and the process of awakening
We practiced through winter and spring; summer was approaching, and still, there was war. The movement of the Earth did not stop, it continued, bringing us to peak exposure to solar energy.
We used this movement to work with the ancient archetypes of the feminine and masculine in the form of the moon and the sun. Inspired by a midrash from the Babylonian Talmud (creative biblical interpretations compiled between 500–600 C.E.) and by the language and symbols of yoga that tell the story of the body.
This study was dedicated as a prayer for a new dynamic between the feminine and masculine. It called for the awakening of conscious masculinity, meeting the feminine face to face, and for the awakening of the feminine, remembering her full power.
The practices were inspired by a Kabbalistic teaching that weaves together the stories of the Moon and Sun, Adam and Eve, the Sefirot, and the Faces, leading into a daily meditation practice of Nadi Shodhana (Sanskrit for purification of the body’s energy channels), performed with a Hebrew mantra.
Osicilation Fields - Autum 2024
Electromagnetic Fields: Body, Neuroscience, Physics, and the Nature of Consciousness
It was already almost a year into the war. The need to understand the patterns of energy movement, the nature of consciousness, and the dynamics at play within nature, the cosmos, and human awareness led us to dive deeply into the subtle, oscillating framework of our world.
The Snake’s shedding - Winter 2024
Laboratory of Exhaling practices
As we were approaching the peak of darkness, we focused on shedding what was not going to take an active part in the incubation process within the cave of winter. Instead, it became nourishing waste. We shed what had dried out, making space for the new.
Make your breath a prayer: exhale…
The Crack in the Cosmic Egg - Spring 2025
Laboratory of Hatching Practices
The Cosmic Egg, an ancient symbol of creation found across cultures, represents pure potential—the moment before form, consciousness, and life emerge. In this laboratory, the “crack” was explored as a necessary rupture: the moment of transformation that allows new life and new awareness to be born. At a time marked by uncertainty and upheaval, we worked with the Cosmic Egg as a gateway for change, recognizing disruption not as collapse but as opening.
Through breath, movement, and meditation, participants engaged in practices designed to break through inner shells and shift perception. A central element of the journey was a daily 31-minute meditation with the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra from the Rig Veda (Mandala 7, Hymn 59), supporting the release of fear—especially the fear of death and transformation. The process culminated on the Spring Equinox, marking a
The Heart of the World - Summer 2025
The Heart of the World was a practice space dedicated to strengthening presence, compassion, and connection during a time when human attention, energy, emotion, and care felt deeply contested. Rather than naming the forces at play, the focus remained on what, and whom, we chose to nourish and make present.
Through somatic practices inspired by Kundalini Yoga, participants gathered to listen inwardly and to one another. The space invited the sharing of dreams, mutual support, and the cultivation of a field of compassion and love, especially in places touched by darkness. Open to participants joining from near and far, each morning was shaped by what arose in the group and by the needs of the collective field.
